MFDA - The Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (MFDA) is the national self-regulatory organization (SRO) for the distribution side of the Canadian mutual fund industry.
Insurance Council: the Insurance Council of British Columbia’s mandate is to is to provide a level of protection to the public pertaining to the sale of insurance products and services under the framework provided by the Act. The following provides an overview of Council's role.
Education and Experience: Council has a responsibility to ensure education requirements for licensing meet the minimum standards necessary to protect the public. For specific licences there are also minimum experience requirements. To support the entry level education requirements, there are mandatory continuing education programs for all licensees. Licensing: All applicants must satisfy Council they are suitable for licensing by demonstrating they are competent, trustworthy, financially reliable and intend to carry on the business of insurance in good faith and in accordance with the usual practice. Discipline: Council has the authority to discipline licensees when there has been a breach of the Act or Rules.
Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) is a not-for-profit standards-setting and certification body that develops, promotes and enforces professional standards in financial planning through Certified Financial Planner® certification — the standard for financial planning in Canada. FPSC's purpose is to instill confidence in the financial planning profession.
Advocis - The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, is the oldest and largest voluntary professional membership association of financial advisors and planners in Canada. We are the home and the voice of Canada's financial advisors.

CALU - CALU members provide personal financial, business succession, estate planning, wealth creation, retirement planning and employee benefits services to their clients, many of whom are the owners of family businesses. Membership in CALU is restricted to individuals who meet the professional standards set for admission to the organization. Through the annual meeting and seminars, CALU provides Active, Provisional and Associate Members with a forum in which to discuss and exchange information to improve the quality of products and services provided for clients.
BC Chambers of Commerce: The BC Chamber of Commerce is the largest and most broadly-based business organization in B.C. We represent local Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade in communities throughout the province.
